Abstract
The goal of my research is to put together a paper that goes into enough detail about early brain research to convince the reader that child care centers must improve their quality and then to give an assessment of how the public can support the necessary changes. This is a Literature Review of writings and research on early brain development early childhood education and the suggestions to improve child care center quality. These changes are intended to get child care quality moving in the right direction.
The new research suggests that early childhood is critical to a child's healthy development and that we need to make sure that young children are in the right environments. Many children are in some form of child care today. Parents around the country are struggling with quality, cost and availability of child care. Quality child care centers can and do have a positive impact on the development of children.
