Abstract
Sexual health is a vital component of overall physical, psychosocial, spiritual health and well-being. The doctorate of nursing practice-family nurse practitioner (DNP-FNP) has many opportunities for enhancing advanced nursing knowledge of sexual health and the importance of sexual health history assessment. Numerous gaps in sexual health assessment and sexual health history taking exist in current DNP-FNP practice. This scholarly project aims to improve sexual health assessment and history taking through the creation a pocket guide to address sexual concerns, identify risks factors, promote health and provide education for school-age to geriatric patients in primary care.
